opening space: conversations about death and dying is an interactive participatory presentation which seeks to create space for participants to begin conversations about illness and end-of-life care. Incorporating spoken word, gesture, objects, and printed ephemera, I invite audience members to share their stories of doctor’s visits, illnesses, and the deaths of those they love.

opening space was presented on April 26, 2017 as part of Ill at Ease: Dis-ease in Art at University at Buffalo Department of Art’s Lower Gallery (April 13 through May 12, 2016).
